The first thing to do in sports wood floor decoration is to remove 1-2mm of the surface of the old floor paint layer. During site decoration, protective measures must be taken. Make sure the polished floor surface is fine and smooth. The larger the mesh size, the smaller the particles and the fewer scratches left after polishing.

After polishing, the surface of sports wood floors is very smooth, but not necessarily flat. It needs to be leveled with putty powder. Apply a coat of putty to the polished floor, spread evenly, and wait to dry.
When sanding sports wood floors, the primer should be done well, because the color of the floor will not be consistent after sanding. But the texture of the floor is natural, so the color of the floor cannot be changed. Just adjust the color of the basketball wood floor and keep it consistent.
After the primer dries, a topcoat can be applied. After the first coat has dried, sand with water sandpaper to slightly roughen the surface of the floor. Blow the dust off the surface and apply a second coat of paint.
It should be noted that not all wood floors can be refurbished, only solid wood floors, parquet floors, and sports wood floors with a surface thickness of more than 4 mm can be refurbished. Because the initial polishing will wear 1-2 mm, the floor that is too thin is easy to polish the middle layer and affect the service life of the floor, so it is best to go to the seller to know the surface thickness of the floor.
