The 2017 Guangzhou Staff Basketball Competition, hosted by the Guangzhou Federation of Trade Unions and undertaken by the Guangzhou Second Workers' Cultural Palace, came to a close on May 27 on the basketball court of the Ergong Gymnasium. In this competition, nearly 600 athletes from 47 teams from the labor unions of various grassroots units in Guangzhou participated in the competition. After 4 days of fierce competition with a total of 71 competitions, the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau team with outstanding strength finally won the championship; the Liwan District Education Union and the Guangzhou Automobile Group team won the second and third respectively.
From January to April 2017, the cultural palaces and stadiums directly under the Guangzhou Federation of Trade Unions hosted a total of 65 sports competitions for trade unions at all levels in the city, including table tennis, football, shuttlecock, tug of war, badminton, poker tractors, and fun sports. and other projects.
